Project Report
Sophisticated Dredging Equipment
“TIDE TRAC”

Dredging magazines and articles feature the current availability of sophisticated water level monitoring devices that use GPS and electronic calibrations. They are designed to operate by Solar or Battery power, which means the system can be left unattended for months and withstand harsh abuse on dredges, survey vessels, or dock side as needed. It consists of a Remote Receiver and a Base Station, with an accuracy of + or – 0.02 ft. Dredging companies are going “hi-tech”, so many future dredging projects, previous thought impossible, may soon be doable and affordable.
